Galanthus nivalis in the green - single snowdrop
Galanthus nivalis in the green - single snowdrop
Beautiful, elegant, scented, white tear-drops; the first brave blooms to arrive as winter breaks in to spring.
Planting “in the green” helps the bulbs to establish more reliably than their dry counterparts in the autumn. The bulbs are harvested in Jan-March whilst they still have green leaf and are in active growth, flowers faded. They are shipped with roots and shoots and must be replanted quickly so they can settle in vigorously. They will start to subdivide and multiply , ideal for naturalising in drifts through lawns and forest floors. They will flourish at woodland edges, hedges and verges, beneath and around trees, river and stream banks as well as open damp pastures, meadows and orchards in sun or partial shade.
A brilliant first bulb supporting early foraging insects and pollinators that also make pretty cut flowers in small vase and perform brilliantly in planters too.
PLEASE NOTE: BULBS ARE HARVESTED ON ORDER AND WILL BE SHIPPED IN FEBRUARY
